The United Nations has called this population growth another achievement in human history. According to them, the average human life expectancy has increased slightly due to improvements in health systems worldwide, nutrition, personal hygiene and improved medicine. And this matter has helped to increase the population. A United Nations statistic says that by the year 2050, the world's population will be 9.7 billion.

According to the United Nations World Population Prospects 2022 report, most of the world's next billion people will be born in eight countries. They are - Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines and Tanzania. According to the US media Bloomberg in a report, half of the total population of the world currently lives in only seven countries (China, India, United States, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria and Brazil). Currently the most populous country is China. According to the United Nations, India will overtake China to become the world's most populous country in 2023. They also said that although the birth rate increased in the middle of the 20th century, the rate of population growth will now start to decrease.

It took about 12 years for the world population to go from 7 billion to 8 billion. It is said that it will take 15 years to reach the milestone of 9 billion. That means the population will reach 9 billion in 2037. On the other hand, the world's population will touch 1 billion in 2080. This indicates that population growth will slow down in the next few decades. Meanwhile, the average life expectancy of people in 2019 was 72.8 years. Since 1990 which has increased by almost 9 years. This trend of increasing life expectancy is expected to continue and in 2025 it will stand at 77.2 years.
